If you are traveling from any of the above ports you will more than likely use the A4 Autobahn when in Germany. It is recommended that you follow the instructions below, regarding exits. This route has been tried and tested and is a lot easier than some sat/nav suggestions.


Directions from the Autobahn A4

Leave the A4 at exit 14, keep to the right and join the A559, signposted A559 Konigswinter/Flughafen Koln-Bonn.

The A559 almost immediately becomes the A59.

From the A59

Leave the A59 at exit 37 which is signposted Spich, Spich/Niederkassel.

At the end of the exit/slip road follow the signs for Niederkassel.

After a few hundred metres you will come to a roundabout, take the 3rd exit, again signposted Niederkassel.

Continue on this road for approximately 1km until you get to another roundabout.

Take the 4th exit, again signposted Niederkassel.

Continue on this road for 4.5km which will have taken you through the small village of Stockem (beware stationary radar trap) and around the edge of Uckendorf, until you come to another roundabout.

Take the 3rd exit, signposted Niederkassel/Lülsdorf. Follow this road for a further 1.7km to the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit, signposted Bonn/Niederkassel.

Continue on this road for 1.2km to yet another roundabout and take the 2nd exit, signposted Bonn/Rheidt.

Nearly there!

After 1.7km on this road you will be approaching a sharp right hand bend. DO NOT GO ROUND THE BEND but turn left at the apex, on to a small farm road.

Stay on this farm lane for 1km until you come to the turning to Die Grosse Heerstrasse,

Turn right into Die Grosse Heerstrasse,

after 500mtres turn left into Otto Lilienthal Weg.

You are now at the Show site.


A helpful hint on German Autobahn signs:
The following normally applies. On nearing an exit (usually 1km from exit) only the first, overhead sign shows the exit number. After that, the only indication of what exit number you are approaching, is shown on the “300mtr to exit sign”.
